
01 Sep Empowerment Through Self-Awareness

As I have already gotten to meet many of the teachers and students at The Studio, I have immediately felt the sense of home and community I’ve been looking for. In my journey of self-awareness to become a better person for myself and those around me, it has been trying to find the right place where I feel in alignment as both a student and teacher.
As I began reading The Studio’s mission statement and core values, what stood out to me was the idea of bringing people together with the intention of raising awareness on both a personal and collective level. This is what I’ve been looking for… a community in which I can strengthen both my personal yoga practice and hone my teaching skills. Tuning into my students and guiding them deeper into their practice brings me so much fulfillment and a sense of purpose.
Empowerment through self-awareness as a core value stood out to me as well, as I believe it is important to have body, mind, and breath awareness. When we take time to tune in to ourselves and truly listen, we regain control of ourselves and our experience, both on and off the mat… we become stronger mentally and physically, which carries into our everyday lives.
When I first began my yoga journey, I never imagined the impact it would have on my mental and physical health. From learning how to better process my emotions and thoughts, to becoming physically stronger than I have ever been… yoga is not just a stretch or workout; yoga is a lifestyle and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the vibrant community at The Studio. I look forward to learning and growing with you all!
